We were only supposed to be in this area for two nights, and then fly back to Shanghai for a night before heading south to Fuzhou. One the day we were scheduled to leave, Typhoon Wipha hit and cancelled all flights out of Huangyan Airport. News reports were calling it a "super typhoon" and over 200,000 people have evacuated, but we are safe.
